On 11/13/2024 at 12:47am the Oakmont Volunteer Fire Department with Parkview EMS was dispatched to a dog that has fallen and is injured at the bottom of a cliff. On scene the dog was found about 50-60 feet down a rough side of the cliff in Dark Hollow Woods Park. Members from Oakmont set up the rope systems and was able to safely secure and raise the dog back up to the path without any more injuries. Members then assisted the owner moving dog into the vehicle so he could go to the vet.
