Oakmont Borough, Allegheny County, PA-approximate population of 6,400. $5M budget w/55 FT& PT employees. 7 Member Council, Mayor with Council-Manager form of government. 

Requirements: Applicants will have bachelor’s degree in Finance, Political Science, Planning or other government-related field. Master’s Degree in Public Administration or other related field and any relevant combination of experience and education preferred. 

Ideal candidate will demonstrate skills in municipal finance, budget preparation and administration, project management, human resources, collective bargaining, delivery of community services, planning/land use/zoning, community development, comprehensive planning, grants administration, verbal and written communication skills, and regional cooperation.

Part-Time Police Officers

The Borough of Oakmont is currently accepting applications for Part-time Police Officers. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, currently PA Act 120 certified, ability to pass both physical and psychological examinations, background and driving record checks. The starting salary is $16.16 with increases every six months, reaching $20.21 after 18 months of service.

School Crossing Guard

Oakmont is accepting applications for School Crossing Guards. Applicants must be able to work morning/afternoon sessions during the school year as needed. The current rate is $28.44 per session.
