On 9/10/2024 the Oakmont Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a working detached garage fire. The garage was directly next to 2 other garages as well as a house in the back. Within 5 minutes of the call, Oakmont engine 216 was on scene and after just 11 minutes the fire was brought under control. Because of the quick work by our crew and mutual aid partners the fire was contained to the original building with no injuries.
