Tick Table with Allegheny County Health Department

Allegheny County Health Department will present a display table at libraries for tick safety awareness:
This is for infectious disease prevention and education. Depending on his availability, Nick Baldauf, our vector control specialist (who actually does the tick drags and infection rate data analysis) sometimes is able to accompany me. Either way, we have posters, brochures, tick displays with a magnifying glass and reusable tick removal kits to hand out to patrons. It is a three-hour event that gives people the opportunity to ask questions about Lyme and get information regarding transmission and prevention.
