Update from Oakmont Borough
STORM UPDATE:
We are coordinating with both Shank Waste and County Hauling to place roll off dumpsters (4-5 in total) throughout the Borough for residents to use for items lost due to the lack of power. For now one will be on 13th Street at Pennsylvania Avenue (700 Block). Another at 9th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue (600 Block). As we obtain more dumpsters, we will announce their locations.

We are also working with Shank Waste on an enhanced collection schedule (including recycling) for next week to help in those neighborhoods that could not be serviced due to downed trees and utility lines. When the schedule is known, we will share.

Brush/tree debris stacked along the roadway will be picked up by the Street Department. Having said that, larger logs are free for the taking by those who wish to restock the wood burning pile.

Hulton Rd will remain closed b/t 5th and 9th Streets until DLC confirms the work area is safe for through-traffic.

Whenever we get any information from DLC about restoring power in the Borough, we will share. We have a line of communication with the crews but we are at the mercy of how expedient the crews can re-establish the grid.
