The first draft of the Oakmont Sustainability Plan was presented by the Borough’s Public Affairs Graduate Student Intern at the August 6th Council Work Session. Created in collaboration with The Congress of Neighboring Communities’ (CONNECT) Director of Infrastructure and Resilience, the Oakmont Sustainability Plan is a step forward in Oakmont’s goals to become more sustainable. The purpose of the plan is to outline Oakmont’s environmental vulnerabilities and create actionable initiatives that protect public health, decrease cost, and promote more resilient infrastructure in the Borough over the next 10 years.
