This Halloween season, we’re excited to announce a special opportunity to help both the environment and families in need. The Borough of Oakmont is partnering with Michael Brothers Hauling to collect old Halloween lights through our Halloween Light Recycling Program.
Why Recycle Your Halloween Lights?
Many people don’t realize that old or broken Halloween lights can be recycled to extract valuable metals inside the wires. By recycling these lights, you’re not only keeping them out of landfills but also supporting a fantastic cause. All proceeds from the recycled metals will go directly to Project Bundle Up, a program dedicated to providing warm clothing to families in need.
How Can You Participate?
It’s easy! Simply gather your old or broken Halloween lights and drop them off at the designated collection site:
