Notice to Oakmont Borough Residents: Borough Administration has heard your concerns regarding the recent change to the garbage contract, which now limits curbside pickup of large items to one per month. To help address this, the Borough will place 30-yard dumpsters at:

  • Creekside Park
  • Riverside Park (Second Street Parking Lot)
  • The 1000 block of Oakmont Avenue
  • The 600 block of Twelfth Street.

The dumpsters will be available on Monday, October 13, and Tuesday, October 14, and possibly extended depending on the demand. Out of respect for our neighbors, the hours of operation are from dawn to dusk. These dumpsters will be under surveillance, and available for Oakmont Borough residents only to dispose of large household items that are not eligible for regular weekly trash collection. Proof of residency may be required.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to provide this service and ensure it is convenient and beneficial for our residents. We kindly ask that residents do not place items around the dumpsters if they are full. The Borough will ensure that dumpsters are emptied and returned the next day for your convenience.
