Notice: The Borough will place 30-yard dumpsters at:
- Creekside Park
- Riverside Park (Second Street Parking Lot)
- The 1000 block of Oakmont Avenue
- The 600 block of Twelfth Street
The dumpsters will be available on Monday, October 13th, and Tuesday, October 14th, and possibly extended depending on the demand. The hours of operation are from dawn to dusk. These dumpsters will be available for OAKMONT BOROUGH RESIDENTS ONLY to dispose of large household items that are not eligible for regular weekly trash collection. Proof of residency may be required.
We kindly ask that residents DO NOT PLACE ITEMS AROUND THE DUMPSTERS IF THEY ARE FULL. The Borough will ensure that dumpsters are emptied and returned the next day for your convenience.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to provide this service and ensure it is convenient and beneficial for our residents.
Examples of Acceptable Items:
- Furniture (sofas, chairs, tables, mattresses, box springs)
- Carpeting (cut into manageable pieces)
- Small appliances (microwaves, toasters, vacuums)
- General household bulky waste
Items NOT Permitted:
- Electronics (TVs, computers, monitors, printers)
- Hazardous waste (paint, chemicals, oil, propane tanks, batteries)
- Tires
- Construction and demolition debris (concrete, bricks, shingles, drywall, lumber)
- Yard waste (leaves, branches, grass clippings)
